This movie was OK, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as people claimed.
Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was great, but his dialog, for the most part, was not all that interesting. I was having fun with him at first, especially when he told the story about how he got his scars (the first time anyway) But when he told that story the second time, I was not impressed. Once was more then enough.
When it all comes down to it, this movie was simply OK, but because the death of Heath Ledger was such a shocker to the Hollywood community, this film got way more credit than it deserved, and that's all there is too it.

I can't recall the last time I left a movie theater feeling so awestruck. And I can honestly say it was one of the best cinematic experiences of my life. My hat goes off to the writers and actors. Heath Ledger delivered a beautiful and meritorious performance as one of the more interesting film characters I've seen in a while. Aaron Eckhart was definitely not far in caliber. In my opinion, one of his best performances. Long has it been since we've had the privilege to have a summer blockbuster that really had depth and substance (as cliché as that may come off. Yet it still managed to satisfy all your expectations of a summer hit.
